It's a New Day

Today, I am hopeful. I’m really looking forward to what is coming. My daughter went back to school leaving me in charge of my sweet, sweet granddaughter a couple days a week. My son just launched his first digital course while touring with his band across the country. My husband is out

making magic happen at national sales meetings and conferences in cities near and far. And my son-in-law is working hard on keeping males around the world nicely groomed. Everyone is doing well, and I am happy!

I also see good things happening in real estate. The new Buyer’s Agency Agreement put in place after the NAR settlement is helping buyers find their perfect match in the agent they choose. Because this agreement must be in place before any showings can take place, buyers are saying yes to their one and only agent who will pave the way for their home buying journey. I like that both agent and buyer are committed to one another and dedicated to the project.

Something else we’ve started to see and expect to see more of is a drop in interest rates. Inflation has come down and the economy has slowed enough that further rate reductions are predicted for next week, November, and possibly again in December! Optimistic analysts say we could see five point something percent by the end of the year!

Making home ownership more affordable is a welcomed concept. I liked hearing that a $25,000 down payment credit for first-time home buyers and a plan to build more new housing is part of a presidential campaign. It makes it just a little bit more within reach to own your own home. I think it opens the door for my son to own his own place, for his preschool buddy to do the same, or maybe for our friends to be able to invest in a little vacation home.

It all makes me hopeful. Are you hoping along these lines? Do you want to make a move? I would love to be your perfect match and your one and only in your real estate journey. Hit reply and tell me what you hope to do.

So many good things to come,

Diana
